Christmas Cards

Christ is Born

This is a beautiful card sent to me
by my friend Donna.
I love Christmas and wanted to share this with you.
Because Jesus Was Born...
This was my 2012 Christmas card.
It lists some of the reasons
Jesus was born with scripture reference.

Rejoice

This was a fun card to make.  It took a little time since I had to cut each little section. I mounted the sections on solid green matting and added a ornament and word. This was my 2013 Christmas card.

Be Thou My Vision Music

I used a musical sheet of "Be Thou My Vision" from an old hymnal.
Also added more of the music on the inside.  And of course, I decorated the envelope, too.

Pocket Cards

These fun card ideas came from Pinterest.
It's a great place to get new ideas.
I try to decorate my envelopes to match my cards.  Enjoy.

Fall Decor

I'm in the fall decorating mood already.  I bought some fall flowers, pumpkins, berries, leaves, etc. at Hobby Lobby and just went crazy.  Enjoy.

Halloweeeeeeeen!

Trick or Treat Card

Spider Card

Mummy Card
These are so easy and fun to make.  They are all done with black card stock as the base.  The Mummy card was made by tearing strips of white card stock and inking the torn edges.  Then just leave a small space for googly eyes.  Cute!

Christian Cards

Here are some cards with a Christian theme.  Hope you enjoy them.

I used my Cricut for the church window.  I also always put a Bible verse inside.

Again I used my Cricut for the Bible and added a Bible verse inside.

This is a good way to use up your scraps.

More Cards and Halloween, too

Happy Birthday
I have decided to decorate the inside of my envelopes. I cut a template from paper that matches my card and glued the edges.  This makes the cards even more special.  Try it!
They say it's your birthday

Hershey Nugget Halloween Treats
These are very inexpensive and cute to give when you have groups of people to give to.  I printed out Halloween art on my PC or you can use your Halloween stamps (I didn't have any). Then I wrapped it around a Hershey Nugget.  I punched out 2 scallops with my scallop punch from Halloween paper and attached it to a black card stock base using 2 nuggets.  Then tied a black ribbon around the whole thing.  Cute!  I have to give credit to Angie at www.mychicnscratch.com .

Baby Girl Card, Hello and You're On My Mind Card

Sweet Baby Girl
This card was made for a friend's baby shower.  It will be her new granddaughter who will be born soon.  I embossed some white card stock on my Sizzix and added a strip of pink poka-dot card stock at the bottom and pink ribbon.  Then I used my scallop Stampin' Up
punch and mounted a circle with the words
"Sweet Baby Girl" on in in pink.

Hello

This is a simple all occasion card with "Hello" on the front.  The card is aqua with white embossed card stock on the front, then several sizes of circles mounted on larger aqua circles.
I used a orange circle and orange ribbon to give it a punch of color.
You're On My Mind
This is a simple thinking of you card made from white card stock.  I added 3 colored coordinated paper strips, punched out a butterfly from my Sizzix, added a white bow to the center of the butterfly, and stamped a sentiment on the front.

More All Occasion Cards

These are simple cards to make.  The first one: Just tear off the edge of some white card stock and stamp it with your favorite flowers and insects in colors to match your card, then glue it to the front.  The 2nd one:  Just stamped some more flowers on white card stock along with a sentiment and mounted it on solid card stock to match the card.   I also added a flower to the front of the envelopes.  Oh, I did use watercolors to color each of the flowers.

4th of July Wreath

4th of July Door Wreath

I am getting ready for an annual July 4th family picnic and decided I was in a patriotic mood so I am decorating in red, white and blue.  I made this door wreath by wrapping crepe paper around a straw wreath from Michael's.  I left the plastic around the wreath so it wouldn't be so messy.  I added flowers to match and stuck a piece of wire in the back for hanging.  Talk about easy.  This was super easy and cute, too.

Below are other things I have made in the 4th theme.  And of course be sure to serve food in red, white or blue dishes along with patriotic plates, napkins and table cloths.  Happy 4th!

Door Wreath

Flowers on my porch
For the table

Forks in mason jar
Windsock

These are made with white card stock and red and blue crepe paper, then hung with red ribbon.
I also stamped red and blue stars on the white card stock.
I made several windsocks and placed them around the patio area.

Rocking Chair with Red Cushion

I painted 2 old rocking chairs that were on my front porch and added red cushions.
These are great for using all year long not just on the 4th.

Thank You Cards and All Occasion Cards

I was asked to make a friend some masculine cards for her husband.  I made a few Thank Yous and some that could be used for any occasion.  On the inside I put a cross and a Bible verse at the bottom, but left the rest of the card blank so he could write his own message.  Also, as usual I added a design to the envelope to match the card.  Here below are the ones I made.
Hope you like them and get inspired.
