Easter Cards

Refresh, Renew, Rejoice

Happy Easter
I made these cards today at a card workshop.  Several of my friends got together and made cards.  They are beautiful.  The Happy Easter card is made by embossing on velum and then adding ink to the back to bring out some color to the lace. It's hard to see in the photo, but the colors are purple and green.  Added lace and a sentiment and it's done.  Love it!  The Refresh, Renew, Rejoice card was stamped with a flower stamp, then the flowers were colored the Stampin Up Blendables.  Then placed on an embossed sheet of card stock, added ribbon, and added a sentiment.

Angry Bird
This is sooo cute.  I saw this on Pinterest and just had to make it for my grandson, RJ.  His birthday is coming up and I know he will love it.

Workshop Cards

These are some cards made at my card workshop on Saturday.  I invited a few friends and we made several cards.  It was a nice girls day out.

Tissue Paper Card

For this card I stamped a flower, stems, and sentiment on a piece of tissue paper.  Then I wadded up the tissue paper.  Then I smoothed it out and glued it onto a white card stock, which was then mounted on the purple card stock. I then mounted it onto a green card.  So easy and cute.

Get Well Card

This is an easy one, too.  Mount a 2 inch patterned card stock onto a background to match the flower you want to use.  I mount a coordinated paper flower I got at Michael's and put a pearl in the center.  You can add any sentiment you want.  I used a get well soon sentiment.

Valentine's Day Card

It's almost Valentine's Day so we had to make a Valentine card.  I cut out a tan envelope from card stock using my Cricut, tied a ribbon around it, and placed it on pink card stock.  From coordinating paper I added punched out hearts making them look like they were falling out of the card.   Then stamped sentiment on to a circle and mounted it to a scallop.  Too, cute!

Happy Birthday Card
Just used scraps for this one.  I mounted 4 different coordinating papers onto black card stock, glued them all to white card stock, added ovals, and sentiment.  Very easy and you can put those scraps to good use.

Two Pocket Card

This one is fun!  Tricky to fold, but cute.  You can add coordinating tags or use as a gift card holder.
I got the instructions from:
http://addinktivedesigns.blogspot.com/2011/11/jai-92-just-add-tag-or-bookmark.html
This is my test card so it is very plain, but you can get the idea.  You just need to use card stock with a pattern on both sides.

These are pictures from my vendor booth at the Southern Cruisers National Rally held September 4-7, 2014 at the Clarion Hotel in Lexington, KY.  I met people from all over the US.  There were several other vendors there, but no one with crafts like mine.
I had a great time and will do it again next year.

I had Halloween items as well as Christmas items - and - of course my greeting cards.  My best seller was my homemade lip balm.  I sold out.  Guess I will need to make more for my next craft fair in October.  If you see something you like, I do take orders -
just email me at lvittitow4@windstream.net

Craft Fair Items

I have been busy making cards and other paper crafts for an upcoming craft fair.  It is the annual SCRC National Bike Rally to be held at the Clarion Hotel in Lexington on Sept 4-7, 2014.  The event is to help St. Jude Children's Hospital.  The hotel is located at 1950 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY.  There will be bikers and non bikers from all over the US.  Also I have inexpensive trick or treat ideas for Halloween and Christmas stocking stuffers as well as teacher gifts.

There will be many, many venders there, too.  Some will be outside and some inside.  My booth will be set up on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 5-6 from 9am - 9pm and will be located inside the hotel.  I'm glad of that in case there is bad weather.  Since most of my crafts are made with paper, I don't have to worry about anything getting wet.

I hope you will come out even if you don't participate in the bike riding.  It still should be fun for the whole family.

Below are samples of my items.  Keep in mind, I do take custom orders.  Just email me at lvittitow4@windstream.net

More Handmade Cards

Here are some easy cards to make.  I used card stock (an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet will make 2 cards with each card measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4), paper flowers from Michaels, and stamped a message on the front.  Also I always put my personal stamp on the back.  Sometimes I leave the inside blank and other times I stamp a message.  I even print a message on my PC at times.  I sell these and other cards for $2 each or 6 for $10. Shipping is based on quantity.

More Altoid Tins

Don't throw those empty Altoid tins away.  They are great to use for little gifts.  You can put candy in them or make a mini sewing kit for your purse or car.  These are just a few uses.  I put a saying on the inside and later I will fill with candy.
