Vintage Card |
Welcome to my craft blog. Thanks for stopping by. I am sharing with you my handmade greeting cards as well as other interesting crafts. I hope these will inspire you to send a card or give a little gift to someone who needs to know you are thinking about them. Perhaps your card will encourage their day. If you think you see something you like and don't want to make it yourself, I do sell most of these items I list. Blessings to you, Linda

Vintage Card
Love this card! It has a vintage look. I distress the edges of the brown card, the pink background, the beige background with the stamped flowers and also the sentiment circles. You can use any flower stamp you wish. I colored them with pink and green colored pencils. I added a pink ribbon the the front of the brown card before I added the pink background. On the pink I punched scalloped edging. This is very basic, but you could use any stamps, any colors, and any sentiment. Just use your imagination. The possibilities are endless. Have fun!

I love cards made using black and white. I made these from coordinating paper. I added flowers from Michael's. I printed the sentiments on my PC and used my Big Shot for the borders. I always add a design on the inside, too. With these I stamped a small flower and then left it blank so the card can be used for any occasion. I also always add a cross to the back and a label with my info in case the receiver wants to order future cards from me.

Miscellaneous Cards
It's 7 degrees outside and going down to -10 tonight. We have 15 inches of snow and expecting more tomorrow. Praying that our electricity doesn't go off. If it does, at least we have gas logs in the fireplace. I can't get out of my drive way so thought I would make a few cards. I
don't think you need instructions as to how to make them. They are
pretty easy as you can see. Most of my ideas are not original. I get
them for other stampers or from Pinterest.

Sesame Street Card
Sesame Card |
This was made for my granddaughter who is turning 2. It's made by using yellow, red, and blue card stock punched from a 1 3/4 inch scallop punch. I then added googly eyes to each and a black circle for the mouths of Cookie Monster and Elmo and used yellow for the beak on Big Bird. Don't forget to add a cookie for Cookie Monster.

Bee Well Card
Bee Well |
This is a great simple get well card. The card is out of white card stock - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. Then cut 4 x 5 1/4 black card stock and 3 3/4 x 5 yellow card stock. Run yellow through Big Shot using any embossing folder you choose and mount onto black. Add black ribbon with bow. Then just stamp bees on white card stock, cut out with 2 inch circle punch, mount onto larger black circle. I did color the bees and the edges of the white circle before mounting.

Workshop Cards
Tissue Paper Card |
For this card I stamped a flower, stems, and sentiment on a piece of tissue paper. Then I wadded up the tissue paper. Then I smoothed it out and glued it onto a white card stock, which was then mounted on the purple card stock. I then mounted it onto a green card. So easy and cute.
Get Well Card |
This is an easy one, too. Mount a 2 inch patterned card stock onto a background to match the flower you want to use. I mount a coordinated paper flower I got at Michael's and put a pearl in the center. You can add any sentiment you want. I used a get well soon sentiment.
Valentine's Day Card |
It's almost Valentine's Day so we had to make a Valentine card. I cut out a tan envelope from card stock using my Cricut, tied a ribbon around it, and placed it on pink card stock. From coordinating paper I added punched out hearts making them look like they were falling out of the card. Then stamped sentiment on to a circle and mounted it to a scallop. Too, cute!
Happy Birthday Card |
Just used scraps for this one. I mounted 4 different coordinating papers onto black card stock, glued them all to white card stock, added ovals, and sentiment. Very easy and you can put those scraps to good use.
Two Pocket Card |
This one is fun! Tricky to fold, but cute. You can add coordinating tags or use as a gift card holder.
I got the instructions from:
http://addinktivedesigns.blogspot.com/2011/11/jai-92-just-add-tag-or-bookmark.html
This is my test card so it is very plain, but you can get the idea. You just need to use card stock with a pattern on both sides.
